Common questions
Is this an emergency or rescue service?
No. Bacupnote never contacts police, hospitals, embassies, or rescue services, and it does not confirm safety, health, or location. It only attempts to send a note you prepared, to people you chose, when your check-in schedule is missed.
What if I miss a check-in by accident on the road?
You get a gentle reminder first, then a final reminder with a countdown. Your note is only attempted after that countdown passes, so a missed tap or a day without signal never sends anything immediately.
What's a Trip Pass?
A one-time pass for a single trip. Set it before you go — more trusted recipients and extra reminder channels for the duration of the trip. No subscription, nothing to cancel.
Do you store my passport or location?
No. We don't collect identity documents, medical records, or live location. Keep your note to the details you choose to write, and it's held privately for your selected recipients.
